Youths4CoP17 is a youth educational initiative aimed at increasing young people’s knowledge and interest in biodiversity conservation, climate justice, sustainable development, and environmental participation.
During the program, participants will take part in a 4-day interactive and non-formal learning program, work in teams, engage in discussions, games, and practical activities, and collaboratively develop an educational board game focused on biodiversity and climate change.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
✱ gain new knowledge about environmental and climate-related issues,
✱ learn through games and interactive methods,
✱ develop their own ideas and solutions,
✱ collaborate with young people from different communities and social groups,
✱ better understand the importance of COP17 and youth participation,
✱ identify and discuss environmental challenges in their communities.
The program encourages the participation of young people from diverse social backgrounds, including displaced young people and representatives of socially vulnerable families.
At the end of the program, the developed board game will become part of the educational toolkit of Eco Group Youth-Environmental NGO and will be used in future educational and youth programs.

Goals
✱ Increase young people’s knowledge of biodiversity conservation and climate change
✱ Promote understanding of climate justice and sustainable development
✱ Strengthen youth participation in environmental and community decision-making
✱ Introduce young people to COP17 and international environmental processes
✱ Develop young people’s critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
✱ Encourage youth-led environmental ideas and community solutions
✱ Create an interactive educational board game on biodiversity and climate change
✱ Promote inclusive and equal participation of young people from diverse backgrounds
✱ Build a more informed, active, and environmentally responsible youth community
Key Activities
✱ 4-day interactive training on biodiversity, climate change, climate justice, and sustainable development
✱ Non-formal education activities, including discussions, simulations, games, and practical exercises
✱ Workshops on COP17 and youth participation in environmental processes
✱ Teamwork and idea development focused on local environmental challenges
✱ Co-creation of an educational board game on biodiversity and climate change
✱ Testing and piloting the developed board game with young people
✱ Collection of feedback and improvement of the game based on participants’ input
✱ Final presentation and community event to showcase the project results and board game
✱ Evaluation of the program through pre- and post-training surveys and participant feedback
